My Story
Did you know… 1 in 2 people will be diagnosed with cancer in their lifetime. A scary thought eh? This year I’ve seen three people who are very close to me be diagnosed and battle with cancer. Two close friends who were diagnosed with breast cancer in their early 40s and my mum (and best friend) with a recurrence of ovarian cancer. They’ve all shown incredible courage and strength as they’ve faced tests and waiting (and more waiting) and treatment. I’m really not much of a runner (in fact I’ve had to do the ‘Couch to 5k’ to train for this event) but if by running 5k and getting caked in mud, I can raise some money for Cancer Research, it’s the least I can do. Every single pound you donate makes a difference to Cancer Research UK’s groundbreaking work, so please give generously if you can. Much love, Kate x
