I think I am the only person I know who has been "Lucky" enough to gain entry to the London Marathon twice. My first outing in 2015 was not quite the amazing experience everyone had told me it would be. Standing on the start line, plagued with injury I swore I would never do this again. Yet here I am, 7 years older and obviously no wiser. I am choosing to take on this challenge and raise money for Cancer Research UK in memory of dear friends I have lost, and the strong and brave survivors I am blessed to have in my life. If you are reading this, I'm sure you will also count among your friends and family those who have been touched by this dreadful disease. Thanks to the dedication of Cancer Research UK more people are surviving cancer than ever before.
