Louth Run For Life 2019
Sun 30 Jun 2019 - Sun 30 Jun 2019
I was diagnosed with Grade 2 Invasive Lobular breast cancer in November 2018. I had a lumpectomy and lymph node clearance on 20th December. Unfortunately when my results came back in January there were no clear margins around the removal of the tumour and a significant lymph node involvement (33/35). On the 7th of February I started chemotherapy due to finish the end of May. I will then have a mastectomy and radiotherapy. I am 47 have 4 kids, 2 grandkids and have tried my best to remain upbeat and positive (we all have a wobble) cancer has messed with the wrong one, the gloves are off!! Any awareness, funds we can raise will be greatly appreciated. Mine was never a lump that I could feel it was hidden and only found from a biopsy (after I went with a cyst) and some calcification was found, when the results came back the cancer cells were showing. I am determined to complete the course with my Sophie if that be walking or crawling! Wish me luck you lovely lot and thank you for all the support over the last 6 months much love Kate 💖💖💖
