My Story
This year will be the 20th anniversary of losing Mum and although I've done the usual thing of leaving it late, I am very proud to say that Cam has agreed to run, or rather walk, the 5k around Tilgate Park with me at the end of June. We've come a long way since that sad day and my very first 5k run which Sam ran with me so it's lovely to have another great running/walking buddy. In the 18 years that I've been taking part in the race for life there are more people that I know who are fighting and winning against this terrible disease, however there are still people that we've lost along the way, so I know that this year's run is still just as important as that very first run. Whatever you can spare as a donation would be greatly appreciated by both Cam and I. Hopefully the weather will be kind to us and Cam will become my running buddy (it will definitely beat a few years ago where I was running/pushing and carrying Rach and her smart trike!) until he's too old and Rach can step up. Cancer is happening right now, which is why I'm taking part in a Race for Life 5k to raise money and save lives. 1 in 2 people will be diagnosed with cancer in their lifetime. Every single pound you donate makes a difference to Cancer Research UK’s groundbreaking work, so please sponsor me now. Donating through this page is simple, fast and totally secure.
