In memory of our wonderful Glenda and Ula, and all the loved ones we lost to Cancer. Let's find the cure.
In memory of
For Glenda and Ula
I started my running journey on 30th of April 2018 with "Couch to 5k" app on my phone and pair of old trainers, having never run before. Even at school I was the kind of person that tried to find any excuse possible not to take part in PE. To my surprise, I found that I really enjoy running and pushing myself to new limits. I run my 1st 5k 7 weeks from beginning the course and 10k on 28th of June! On 25th of June last year we have lost Chris' wonderful Mum, Glenda, to cancer. Glenda's illness and sudden death was such shock to us all and it brought on memories of my own Mum passing away on 5th of October 2010, after succumbing to cancer in less than a month since her diagnosis. I would like to put my new found passion to some use and try to make difference. So in future, one day- hopefully soon- no one else will lose their parent, grandparent, sibling or a friend to this devastating illness. Cancer is happening right now, which is why I'm taking part in a Race for Life 10k to raise money and save lives. 1 in 2 people will be diagnosed with cancer in their lifetime.
