My Story

Thanks for visiting my fundraising page. This March I’m walking 10,000 steps a day throughout the month to help beat cancer. Recently a colleague was sadly given the news that she has Acute Leukaemia at 26 years old this was a devastating diagnosis. She has been through her first round of Chemotherapy in early December, where she was on a drip 24hrs a day for 10 days straight, it was really hard on her but she fought through and actually made it home in time for Christmas! She went back into hospital in early January for more bone marrow tests and her second round of chemo which this time has made her quite poorly. It’s a really testing time for her, and with more chemo still to come she’s still got a long way to go. I have friends that have also fought this disease and come through the other side, unfortunately there have also been relatives of friends that wasn't so lucky and was sadly taken from us.
