In memory of

In the hope that one day the word CANCER will no longer strike fear into our the hearts .

Thank you for visiting my Cancer Research UK Veg Pledge page. This November, I will be going vegetarian for Cancer Research UK. The money I raise will help fund life-saving research to help bring forward the day when all cancers are cured.

First weekend Sunday 3rd November. What a great start to the challenge. Macaroni cheese, vegi burger and today home made Aloo Gobi for dinners. Breakfasts have been apple and walnut pancakes, banana and muesli muffins and porridge and lunches have been vegi soups. Great first weekend bring it on! Next weeks menu is planned and really its not that different from our normal weekly menu. Don't forget to add you sponsorship to this page, every little helps.

My last day of the veg pledge. I went to the shops today but wasn't really interested in buying meat. I have missed fish and that has surprised me as I don't really eat a lot of fish. But fish and chips, tuna pasta and paella are defiantly on my list for next week. Jim has really enjoyed the nut roasts, the veg curries, home made pizza and hasn't missed it either although his pizzas were pepperoni and he has had some meat dishes, usually when we eat out. There will defiantly be some permanent changes to our diet but I'll never be able to say I'm a vegetarian.

In my last week and thanks to those who have already donated via my page. For the first time this month I've missed meat. Nothing huge just simple things like a slice of ham on my toast at lunch or tuna pasta. We be both eaten really well and enjoyed all the meals we've had. We'll definitely be eating meat free more often but I'll still be having turkey for Christmas. Please don't forget to give.
