I’m dedicating my wellness walks to Cancer Research this month, walking 56 miles in February to help beat cancer
My Story
Thanks for visiting my fundraising page. This February, I’m walking 56 miles to help raise money for Cancer Research UK. In November 2021 I was diagnosed with breast cancer after a routine screening mammogram. I am between treatments just now so I want to keep well and fit for the next stage of treatment. Exercise is a vital part of my well-being physically and mentally just now, and is one of the things we can all do to reduce or risk of having cancer. I am so grateful for all the research that has gone into the treatment I am receiving. There are many types of cancer for which we don’t yet have adequate screening or treatment. 1 in 2 of us will get cancer in our lifetime. All of us can support the research that will beat it. Help fund life-saving research by making a donation to my page. I know there are a lot of pressures on everyone’s finances at the moment but even if everyone could chip in a pound it would make an important contribution.

CAUSE
All Cancer Types
Cancer is complex. There are over 200 types of cancer, most of which have different biology and behaviour. With your support, our dedicated researchers can continue to discover better ways to prevent, detect and treat this disease, and bring about a world where everybody lives longer, better lives, free from the fear of cancer.
