My Story
My Mam died of lung cancer when I was three months pregnant with my daughter Katie May, who is now 23 years old. Katie May never had the chance to know her grandmother, and my Mum never met her granddaughter. Over the past two decades the money raised through the Race for Life and funded research that means other mams and grans, dads and granddads will get the chance to see their children grow and get to know their grandchildren. 1 in 2 people will be diagnosed with cancer in their lifetime.
