Karen's Race for Life
Margate Pretty Muddy 5k 2019

My nephew Josh was diagnosed with leukemia just before his 2nd birthday. It was a sad tough road. The children along the way where all so strong and acted like it was normal to be so sick. Prodded poked isolated even put into comas as their bodies to weak to cope. Even though Josh dosent remember it now he is a healthy strapping lad turning 18 in a couple of weeks. We as a family remember it all watching children fighting for their lives and parents devasted and heartbroken but so so brave all of them . Josh was lucky to have amazing hospital staff fighting along side him to keep him alive. So this is why I do this race to help families keep their children with them because no parent deserves to lose a child because not all of the children make it so every penny counts in the fight against all type of cancers to keep our loved ones with us. I'm also running this year for my brave Aunty who has just recently been diagnosed with breast cancer and will soon start her treatment journey and she is a tough cookie so I know she will beat it hands down 😍😍
