My Story
As you know, every year I do the Race for Life in memory of my Bestie TAMMI, who we lost sadly to Chondrosarcoma 3 1/2 years ago. I still miss her every day and that will never change, because we were meant to be friends until our old age. Cancer robbed us of that. This year the Race has taken on an added reason for me to raise funds. 2 months ago, my sister in law, WENDY, was diagnosed with stage 4 breast cancer. This has devastated us all and like TAMMI, she is the mum of a young child, my niece Mori (8), who will be doing the walk with me to help raise more funds. This year, like last year there will be me, my mum, Kerry, Mori and Willow. 4 Generations of us trying to raise as much as we can to gather funds for research. This is so important as the Hormone Therapy WENDY is taking was a clinical trial 18 months ago and is now approved by NICE for use by the NHS. So research is vital and that can only be achieved by people like you and me raising the money. PLEASE GIVE GENEROUSLY.
