28th Apr 1952 - 11th Aug 2011
Cancer is happening right now, which is why I'm taking part in a Race for Life 5k to raise money and save lives. 1 in 2 people will be diagnosed with cancer in their lifetime. Every single pound you donate makes a difference. This is for everyone who has to or has had to face this at some point in their life. My dad was diagnosed twice with cancer of the bladder, both times was found and treated early enough that he is still thankfully here today. My step mum had a lump come up on her face which was then found to be cancer, sadly she lost her fight in 2011. Also 2 of my aunts had breast cancer one of which also went on to develop another cancer she too lost her fight.
