Walk 100 miles in February
My Story
Thanks for visiting my fundraising page. I’m going to walk 100 miles throughout February to help raise vital funds for Cancer Research UK. Alarmingly, the latest statistics say that 1 in 2 of us will be diagnosed with cancer during our lifetime. Ensuring that the best available care and treatments are available for those affected is beyond important. Many will know that my lovely sister is currently battling this disease as well as two of my dear friends. They are each on their own tough journey, showing amazing courage, determination and resilience and that is what has inspired me to join this challenge. Research into different cancers is progressing all of the time but continued funds are required to ensure this vital work is allowed to continue. Every penny helps to fund future research to provide the best treatments and outcomes for those battling this cruel disease. It is the very least they deserve. Cancer is complex. There are over 200 types of cancer, most of which have different biology and behaviour. With your support, our dedicated researchers can continue to discover better ways to prevent, detect and treat this disease, and bring about a world where everybody lives longer, better lives, free from the fear of cancer.
