Shine Night Walk - Full Marathon
Sat 23 Sep 2017
In memory of
My mum - Lesley
I have to admit, signing up for a 26 mile night walk around London was not my idea - I thought I was just going for a coffee with the girls! However, after getting over the initial shock of what I had agreed to, (26 miles is a long way especially for someone who has done little exercise in the last 8 years!), I am embracing the challenge and, above all, am really proud to be doing something to help fight against cancer. Most who know me, will know that I lost my mum to cancer nearly 4 years ago. She was really brave and battled hard but in the end cancer won. My mum was too young, too full of life and had too many things that she still wanted to do and I miss her terribly. This is why I am supporting Cancer Research and am hoping you will help by sponsoring me (please gift aid it if you can). All donations are really appreciated and your support will help keep me walking throughout the night! Each year Cancer Research UK’s scientists get closer to beating cancer, and they’ve helped double survival rates in the last 40 years. But we can’t stop there. Only with our continued support can they turn this research into breakthroughs that save millions of lives. Every single pound you donate makes a difference to Cancer Research UK’s groundbreaking work, so please sponsor me now. Donating through this page is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with Cancer Research UK.
