Kara's Race for Life

Our little family had managed to avoid cancer until last summer when my Dad was diagnosed with kidney cancer. It was a hard time for him and our family but thankfully his is a story of fighting and winning. Dad was incredibly lucky that his cancer, although large, was caught and removed. It took some time but he has made a fantastic recovery and is fighting fit again. Dad’s brush with cancer made me sit up and take notice. I want to do something that will help, so I got off my backside, joined and completed a ‘couch to 5k’ running group, and have enrolled in the Race for Life Pretty Muddy 5k this September. I would be so grateful if you would sponsor me to raise money so that other families like ours can have the same chance to spot and treat cancer early.
