I’m raising as much as I can to beat cancer,
My Story
I will be running this half marathon to help raise funds for research into a disease that I have seen effect some of my nearest and dearest as well as the families of those around me. It is both a celebration of the recovery of both my mother and grandfather from cancer due to, in no small part, the research and care that has only improved in recent decades, as well as an acknowledgement that much more can still be done. Cancer is complex. There are over 200 types of cancer, most of which have different biology and behaviour. With your support, our dedicated researchers can continue to discover better ways to prevent, detect and treat this disease, and bring about a world where everybody lives longer, better lives, free from the fear of cancer.
