My Story
Cancer is happening right now, which is why I'm taking part in a Race for Life 5k to help raise money for a cause very close to my heart. 1 in 2 people are diagnosed with cancer in their lifetime, unfortunately Lyndsey, a very close friend of mine and Grandad are one of these people, as well as other I know who have been affected. Despite beating it on many occasions Lyndsey lost her battle and my Grandad has lost his battle with the dreaded Brain tumour BUT is continuing to fight until the very end. They both stayed so positive throughout, a true inspiration, proving science only goes so far with their mental determination to keep fighting until the very end despite many set backs with nothing but a smile on their face!
