Cancer is happening right now, which is why I'm taking part in a Race for Life Pretty Muddy to raise money and save lives. 1 in 2 people will be diagnosed with cancer in their lifetime. Every single pound you donate makes a difference to Cancer Research UK’s groundbreaking work, so please sponsor me now. I'm doing race for life in memory of my Dad. He went to the doctors with a cough just 3 months before he passed. He was sent for x rays and multiple scans over the next 2 months. He was diagnosed with stage 3 lung cancer with secondary cancer in his brain, back and in his stomach glands. We had an appointment with a consultant to discuss his treatment. The doctor was brilliant and discussed everything at length with us. The outcome was final though, the cancer had spread too far and there was no treatment options. We had to prepare for the worse. We were given until Christmas. Dad passed away just 4 days after this appointment. The tumour is his brain had spread to a nerve which inhibited his breathing. He went from walking around shopping one day to bed ridden the next. There are no words to describe how difficult his passing has been to his family and friends. We just take each day as it comes. If you could kindly support Siân and I as we attempt the first bit of P.E since well P.E at school, it would be greatly appreciated.
