My Story

My name is Julius, I'm 15 years old, and I'm taking on the Keepy Uppy Challenge for the Bobby Moore Fund to help raise money for Cancer Research UK and support life-saving bowel cancer research. Football has always been a huge part of my life. I train hard, play whenever I can, and one of my biggest dreams is to become a professional footballer one day. The Keepy Uppy Challenge is a great way for me to combine my passion for football with the opportunity to make a difference and support an important cause. I'm not taking on this challenge because I've had a personal connection to bowel cancer. I'm doing it because I believe it's important to help others whenever we can. Every year, bowel cancer affects thousands of people and their families, and the research funded through donations can help improve treatments, save lives, and bring hope to those facing the disease. As a young football fan, I was inspired by the legacy of Bobby Moore and the work that the Bobby Moore Fund continues to do. By taking part in this challenge, I'm hoping to raise awareness as well as money for research that could help people in the future. Every donation, no matter how big or small, will make a difference. Your support will help fund scientists, researchers, and medical experts working hard to find better ways to prevent, diagnose, and treat bowel cancer. Thank you for supporting me and this challenge. Your generosity means a lot, and together we can help make a real impact in the fight against bowel cancer. Please donate if you can and help me reach my fundraising goal. Every contribution counts!

CAUSE

Bobby Moore Fund

Bobby Moore was just 51 years old when he died. Shortly after his death in 1993, Bobby’s widow Stephanie Moore OBE set up the Bobby Moore Fund to raise money for pioneering bowel cancer research. Since the fund was set up , bowel cancer mortality rates have fallen by over 30%. However, with 48 people losing their life to the disease every day in the UK, we still have a long way to go.
