I'M TAKING ON THE CHANNEL CHALLENGE FOR STAND UP TO CANCER, SWIMMING 60.5 LENGTHS EVERY DAY, FOR 31 DAYS.
I am raising money for Cancer Research UK’s Stand Up to Cancer campaign, by taking on the October Sink or Swim Channel Challenge. To reach the 21 miles on my own, I will be swimming 60.5 lengths every single day, for 31 days. Having Rheumatoid Arthritis and Fibromyalgia isn't the only thing I have to overcome because I've only been swimming front-crawl for the last 2 months, having been a breast-stroke girl all my life. I have managed 44 lengths non-stop so far but the training is going really well and I have no doubt that I will reach my goal, no matter how long each daily swim takes.
