My Story
Cancer is happening right now, which is why I'm taking part in a Race for Life Pretty Muddy to raise money and save lives. 1 in 2 people will be diagnosed with cancer in their lifetime. Every single pound you donate makes a difference to Cancer Research UK’s groundbreaking work, so please sponsor me now. I was diagnosed with Non Hodgkin Lymphoma in 1985 at 23 years old with a new born daughter but after my chemotherapy treatment I have been a survivor for 36 years and regard myself as one of the lucky ones. My brother was diagnosed with Leukaemia in 1976 but unfortunately he lost his fight with cancer and died in 1978 at 13 years old.
