I'm taking on a Race for Life Hike to raise money to beat cancer sooner

On Saturday 23rd June, my good friend Marie-Claire and I will become the Cucarachas (from the famous Mexican song about the cockroach that can no longer walk because it has lost its back legs). We will attempt to walk 20.5 miles from Corfe Castle to Weymouth and raise funds for Cancer Research UK as so many of us have been, are and will be affected by cancer in one way or another.

Cancer is happening right now. 1 in 2 people will be diagnosed with cancer in their lifetime. Every single pound you donate makes a difference to Cancer Research UK’s groundbreaking work, so please sponsor the Cucarachas.

We did it. Left at 8.15am and finished at 6.45pm. It was hard but beautiful and well worth the effort. Thank you so much for all your donations X

I collected £50 from a car boot sale last weekend but I am appealing to you all, dear friends and family, to help us reach our team target of £360. I know many of you may already have donated to or raised funds yourselves for this cause, but if you haven't this is your opportunity. Any donation will be greatly appreciated.
