Jurassic Coast Hike 2018

My Story

On Saturday 23rd June, my good friend Marie-Claire and I will become the Cucarachas (from the famous Mexican song about the cockroach that can no longer walk because it has lost its back legs). We will attempt to walk 20.5 miles from Corfe Castle to Weymouth and raise funds for Cancer Research UK as so many of us have been, are and will be affected by cancer in one way or another. Cancer is happening right now. 1 in 2 people will be diagnosed with cancer in their lifetime. Every single pound you donate makes a difference to Cancer Research UK’s groundbreaking work, so please sponsor the Cucarachas. Donating through this page is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with Cancer Research UK.

Cancer survival rates have doubled over the past 40 years. Consistent progress is being made but improvements to technology and ground-breaking work offer new opportunities to find different ways to prevent, diagnose and treat cancer and improve survival rates even further.
