**My daughter Lily and I love talking part in the Race for Life every year as the event means so much to us, as like so many of you, our lives have sadly been touched by Cancer. Our motivation is to try to help raise money and awareness for everyone who has had Cancer and survived, those currently living with Cancer, those who have sadly died from Cancer, and for those of us who will be diagnosed with Cancer in the future. Cancer has affected too many of our family and friends and we know how heartbreaking it can be, so we hope that by taking part in the Race for Life, we are helping towards that one day when we can hope for better survival of Cancer for everyone. 1 in 2 people will be diagnosed with cancer in their lifetime.
