Brian Middleton
Thanks for visiting our fundraising page. This January we're taking on Dryathlon® and raising money for Cancer Research UK. We’re ditching the drink for one month to help bring forward the day when all cancers are cured. In October 2016, Julie lost her mentor and friend, Brian, to the effects of cancer. We don't want anyone to have to lose a loved one prematurely, and so we've signed up to the Dryathlon to do our bit to support Cancer Research UK's work. It's perhaps ironic that we've chosen to go Dry in Brian's memory given that Brian would definitely not have approved - no visit from Brian was ever complete until a bottle of wine had been shared. But perhaps that's what makes it fitting - as Brian is no longer able to share in a drink, we can certainly give the drinks a miss for a month alongside him.
