Cardiff Pretty Muddy 5k 2021

Sat 18 Sep 2021 - Sat 18 Sep 2021

My Story

Seven years ago I was diagnosed with Invasive Breast Cancer. Thanks to the research and development of treatments for my Cancer, I am still living life to the full. The journey for me included a double mastectomy followed by Chemotherapy and then two further operations for reconstructive surgery. Following my treatment I joined the local leisure centre to rebuild my strength and confidence. It is with a group of supportive friends I’ve met at the gym that I’m taking part in the Pretty Muddy to help others find the same successful outcome to their treatment that I have been lucky to have. Steve thinks it’s hilarious that I’ve chosen to do this as I’ll walk the perimeter of a field to avoid a muddy bog!
