Julia's Race for Life 2020

Fifteen years ago we lost our beautiful mum/ wife/ grandma/ sister/ niece/ aunty/ cousin/ friend/ teacher. Every year since (2005+) I have walked with family and friends and thousands of other women to remember those we have lost, support those who have been through or who are going through diagnosis and/or treatment and celebrating with those who have come out the other side. THE YEAR OF CORONAVIRUS This year is a little different. Hey, it's 2020, what do you expect? Coronavirus has shook the world. We've been in lock-down and even now we are coming out of it, life is far from normal. But that doesn't mean I can't raise money. Roughly 10k women take part in the event I take part in every year. If every one of them raised £100, from this one event alone, Cancer Research UK will have lost £1m. 400 Race for Life's across the country were set to happen this year!! HELP TO BEAT CANCER Race for Life might officially be cancelled but that doesn't mean I can't do a 5k and not just one! I have challenged myself to do five 5ks in five days. And not on my own - hubby is taking part too. WHY DO ANYTHING? Both Andy and I lost our mum's to cancer/related illnesses as well as other members of our family and friends and I know many of you have lost loved ones too. Over the years I have, with your help, raised thousands of pounds with every penny going towards researching this awful disease which has affected so many.
