My Story
Having previously lost both my mum and father in law to cancer, it was brought home again to me last year when I lost one of my best friends, and colleague of 15 years to this horrible disease. Elaine was the life and soul of our office, slightly bonkers and livened up any night out. She fought the disease with all her strength and had so much more living still to do. It was like a light going out in all our lives. However she would have wanted us all to go on fighting this disease so other families do not face the same tragedy.

Cancer is complex. There are over 200 types of cancer, most of which have different biology and behaviour. With your support, our dedicated researchers can continue to discover better ways to prevent, detect and treat this disease, and bring about a world where everybody lives longer, better lives, free from the fear of cancer.
