A few years ago Dad was diagnosed with bowel cancer, thankfully through proactive screening, rapid diagnosis and treatment he has made a full recovery. Unfortunately other friends have not been so fortunate and this horrible disease has taken another friend recently. I can’t run any distance at all, but wanted to do something in memory of those who didn’t have Dad’s good fortune. So it’s not just the 5k it’s the 10! The training starts now :-) 1 in 2 people will be diagnosed with cancer in their lifetime.
