Jo's Great Wall of China Trek

My trek of the Great Wall of China is approaching fast and training is in full swing. Thank you so much to everyone who has supported my fundraising events this year. The events have meant that I have already been able to donate almost £3000 to Cancer Research UK. Lots of people have asked me if they can still donate, so I have set up this fundraising page to enable any further donations that people might wish to make. It will also be a window for me to update you all on my progress. I have recently completed 43km of walking over a training weekend in Oxfordshire, where maybe the most challenging aspect was the camping! I am also now out most days walking the North Downs Way in preparation of the climbs that face me on the Great Wall Trek. Although I will be walking just 35km over 5 days, i will be climbing 10000 steps and be out for long days following the path of the Great Wall as it snakes up and down. I am undertaking this challenge in memory of my dad, who died of pancreatic cancer and my friend Rosie Kumik, who lost her life to ovarian cancer. Both had so much still to live for, but were cruelly taken by this terrible disease. Thanks for taking the time to visit my fundraising page.
