My Story
I intend to do the Shine Night Walk for Cancer Research UK on september 29th. It may not be a marathon or an iron man or some other colossal endurance event but 10km is plenty for my stiff old joints. If any of you feel you could sponsor me for this fine charity I would be so grateful. Most of us probably have had loved ones who have battled cancer. I am no different with my mother dying prematurely 22 yrs ago, at the age that I am now and also my sister received a diagnosis just 9 months ago. Thankfully her treatment has so far been successful but this dreaded disease continues to play a part in our lives for the time being. Each year Cancer Research UK’s scientists get closer to beating cancer, and they’ve helped double survival rates in the last 40 years. But we can’t stop there. Only with our continued support can they turn this research into breakthroughs that save millions of lives. Every single pound you donate makes a difference to Cancer Research UK’s groundbreaking work, so please sponsor me now. Donating through this page is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with Cancer Research UK.
