Jordan's Race for Life

Cancer is happening right now, which is why I'm taking part in a Race for Life 5k to raise money and save lives. 1 in 2 people will be diagnosed with cancer in their lifetime. I am racing for so many people, I have lost 2 nan's and 2 grandads to cancer, this was the hardest thing to ever go through and doing this run will help me raise money for the charity that did so much to try and help them all. I was younger and at first didn't understand but getting older made me realise how heart breaking it is and what a horrible disease cancer is, it needs to be beaten. I would do anything to have another moment with those I've lost and I would spend more time with them, they were taken so quickly and so suddenly, and I never recovered from that, each day I fight with them in memory, hoping they're proud and I will stay strong for them as I owe them that much. I have another nan that has beat it 3 times proving it is possible, she is the strongest woman I know and she will also be doing race for life, showing what a fighter she is and tell cancer where to go. I also do this for my boyfriend, who like me had a bad experience and lost someone very close to him and his family, I also do it for the family that may still be in a battle with cancer, his family are so amazing and I will run this for them because they all deserve it. Finally I am running for all my friends, for those loved ones they have sadly lost, and for those still fighting, my friends, boyfriend and family mean the world to me, so this is for all of you. Whether I get my target or not, I will complete race for life and I will contribute my part in kicking cancer butt!
