I'm riding for research! Most of my ride will be in France, on the wrong side of the road, on a left hand drive bike.

My Story

From my time as a research Biochemist I know the importance of the work Cancer Research supports, I know how difficult the work is and I know personally colleagues who have spent their whole working life seeking to make a difference. In our village, we all personally know people who are wrestling right now with the disease. In the last few years we have lost some huge personalities who, in their own ways, made a rich difference to our lives. So I will be pedalling with the hope that, even just 1 of the 300 miles, may make a vital difference to someone, somewhere. And to 1 someone in particular. If that strikes a chord, why not give me an extra reason to spin my spokes. "Gear up, Stand up! Don't give up the fight! " as Bob Marley very nearly said. Donating through this page is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with Cancer Research UK. I hope you will follow my light-hearted Blog as I gear up and then ride through the Drôme Provencale!........... https://jonsseptember300.wordpress.com/

CAUSE

All Cancer Types

Our work has helped double cancer survival in the UK in the last 50 years. Despite this incredible progress, there’s more to be done. Nearly 1 in 2 of us will get cancer in our lifetime. Help us carry out world-class research into the prevention, detection and treatment of more than 200 types of cancer.
