I'm taking part in Race for Life because I never got to meet my mother in law
In fact, once you start thinking about the people you'll never see again due to cancer, the body count gets pretty high. Mothers, fathers, friends, all of whom have left an afterimage burned in our memories. People we don't believe should have been sucked into the black hole. I have never run anything like this in my life. At this point it's an article of faith that I can. I'm going to do it though, one way or another, because that's what we do.
CAUSE

Cancer survival rates have doubled over the past 40 years. Consistent progress is being made but improvements to technology and ground-breaking work offer new opportunities to find different ways to prevent, diagnose and treat cancer and improve survival rates even further.
