My Story
This February, I’m running 56 miles to help raise money for Cancer Research UK. In 2021 I began to take my health seriously and managed to lose over six stone through a host of lifestyle changes (and feeling all the better for it)! I'm now looking to push on in 2022 and felt like the 56 mile challenge in February was the perfect opportunity to push out of my comfort zone and challenge myself for an incredible and very personal cause. 56 miles definitely feels like a steep goal for someone with limited running experience, but I am looking forward to giving it my best shot and proving that it can be done. I'm running in memory of my Grandad John, Grandad Bob and Nanny Janet who have all sadly lost the battle to cancer or cancer-related complications. I strive for a world in which we don't have to lose our loved ones so soon and that cancer is something we can beat more and more often. I'm aiming to raise £56 - one pound for every mile ran throughout the duration of the challenge. Thank you for checking out my CRUK fundraising page.
