Each year Cancer Research UK’s scientists get closer to beating cancer, and they’ve helped double survival rates in the last 40 years. But we can’t stop there. Only with our continued support can they turn this research into breakthroughs that save millions of lives. Every single pound you donate makes a difference to Cancer Research UK’s groundbreaking work, so please sponsor me now. My dear friend Katie, at just 38 years old lost her battle with advanced aggressive breast cancer, she had no symptoms until she became unwell at the end of January 2018, being taken in for pneumonia she was then given the devastating diagnosis, we all thought she’d have much longer left and despite being so positive, courageous and strong she lost her battle on Good Friday, not only leaving her friends and family devastated but heartbreakingly leaving her 5 year old beautiful daughter behind. Katie is missed by so many but she was the light in the room, always smiling, always helping others and always making us laugh and her memory will live on through all of her family, friends and most importantly beautiful Bea. Donating through this page is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with Cancer Research UK.
CAUSE
Breast cancer
With almost 140 women diagnosed every day, breast cancer is the most common cancer in the UK. And, although rarer, around 350 men are also diagnosed with breast cancer every year. The good news is more than two-thirds of women now survive 20 years or more. Help Cancer Research UK find new ways to diagnose and treat the disease.
