Cancer is becoming more and more prominent, we all know someone who has been affected or know someone who knows someone who has been effected and I feel its about time we fight back. I know too many people who have lost a close one to cancer and having lost a close relative myself I know the struggle and the pain that comes along with it. My main motivation for doing this run is for my little cousin Selina, who was diagnosed with Cancer at the age of 4. Against all odds, she fought very bravely and luckily kicked cancer in the butt, but it wasn't without a fight. She has now thankfully been a year in remission and is the most amazing, brave, happy and inspirational little girl I am lucky enough to know. However, the fight is still real, at the age of 6 she still has to go to hospital and get regular check-ups, we pray that the cancer doesn't return. We are blessed that this time cancer did not win, however there are many other families out there fighting the same battle. We all need to stand up and fight, so one day we can hopefully beat this horrible illness that steals people from us way to early. 1 in 2 people will be diagnosed with cancer in their lifetime.
