My Story
This year in August, it is 10 years since we lost a very lovely lady to the big C. Sheila Dodd had a huge character and a massive heart. She is missed every day by her family and friends along with her very distinctive Welsh accent and infectious laugh. Everybody that knows me knows that I am not a runner. On 24th June I am going to attempt to run 5k in Sheila’s memory and also for all those that have won and lost their battle with cancer. I will be running as a team with Busy Ladies Bootcamp an amazing, supportive group of ladies, many of them who have also become friends. Everybody has their own reason for running this race but everybody is supporting each other to help them achieve their goals. We all know somebody that has been affected by Cancer so I would be eternally grateful if you could sponsor me, whatever small amount you can. Hopefully, one day we will have a cure for this terrible disease. Cancer is happening right now, which is why I'm taking part in a Race for Life 5k to raise money and save lives. 1 in 2 people will be diagnosed with cancer in their lifetime. Every single pound you donate makes a difference to Cancer Research UK’s groundbreaking work, so please sponsor me now. Donating through this page is simple, fast and totally secure.
