In memory of
Bernard Hughes and Grandad
My daughter, Imogen, aged 21 months has already experience tragedy thanks to cancer! Last year Imogen lost her Grandad to cancer, in the weeks before she was really getting to know him and enjoy spending time with him. This year Imogen's Mama had to undergo an emergency operation to remove a cancer, before this Mama was a huge part of Imogen's life and would look after her one day every week. Since the cancer Mama has been unable to do this and Imogen doesn't get the quality time with Mama she used to. After Mama's operation Imogen would go with her Mama on walks around the village to help bring her strength up and make her smile. I'm so thankful she is too young to understand it all, but knowing she probably wont remember her Grandad when she grows up is devastating. Race for life is a fun way for Imogen to raise money and awareness for cancer and be something she can look back on, how much of it she will walk is another story. Please sponsor us as little or as much as you can, we will be very very grateful. Thank you.
