Ron and Neville
My Story
I've said before that I lost both of my Grandad's to cancer. I don't really remember a lot about my Grandad Neville's diagnosis, I was quite young and shielded from it, thankfully. My Grandad Ron lived for over 6 years with his prostate cancer before it spread to his bones and then he had another 4 years. We had 10 years that in the past we wouldn't have had. Hopefully in another 10 years time other people will be getting longer still with their grandparents. Each year Cancer Research UK’s scientists get closer to beating cancer, and they’ve helped double survival rates in the last 40 years. But we can’t stop there. Only with our continued support can they turn this research into breakthroughs that save millions of lives.
