My Story
I was diagnosed with Stage 4 Ovarian cancer in March 2018 and at the time of being told the news, I was also told about a Trial where a targeted therapy chemo could also be added to my normal chemo. I didn't need any persuading and signed up straight away. After 18 weeks of weekly chemo which included the targeted therapy trial chemo, major surgery and then a further 10 sessions of the targeted therapy trial chemo, the final scan did not detect any signs of cancer and I am now classed as 'living with cancer'. I am one of the lucky ones and am so glad I signed up to participate in the trial for the targeted therapy chemo. This is what research is all about and it needs to continue to help all types of cancer so, please donate whatever you can. Joanna x
