My Story

Thanks for visiting my fundraising page. I’m doing the 100 Push-Ups a Day Challenge to help raise money for Cancer Research UK. Please show your support and help fund life-saving research by donating to my page. I have experienced the devastation cancer causes. I lost my grandad to cancer when I was 14 years old, my dad passed away from lung cancer two months before my first son was born, and I lost my mum to oesophageal cancer a month before my second son was born. Watching the people you love slip away in such a cruel away is heart breaking. I’ve also had my own scare, when they discovered a tumour growing in my spinal cord, luckily, it was benign and successfully removed during surgery, but it was a truly terrifying experience and took a long time to recover. I still can’t feel the back of my right thigh! I also have many family and friends who have beat cancer, and we need more of these stories, but more research is needed which is where we need your help. Please consider donating anything you can afford. It all helps. Push-ups do not come easily to me, so this will be a BIG challenge, but it’s for a great cause so I’m ready to go!
