Never did I think at the age of 34 I would be celebrating beating cancer, let alone doing this alongside my brave friend Laura, who within months received the same diagnosis as me. With the support of family and friends and of course the work of the amazing NHS, we are through the other side and able to look forward to our futures and being mummies to our beautiful children. We are lucky. Only through routine screening did we both receive an early diagnosis which ultimately saved our lives. The work of Cancer Research UK’s scientists continue to develop ways of beating cancer and have helped double survival rates in the last 40 years. Only with our continued support can they turn this research into breakthroughs that save lives. Cervical screening was one day one of these breakthroughs, it has saved the life of both me and one of my best friends. The HPV vaccine has now been developed which will protect my beautiful daughters. Every pound donated contributes to such groundbreaking research which both Laura and I will be forever grateful for, please sponsor us to contribute further and help save the lives of others in the battle against this cruel disease. Cancer doesn't care but it won't win!
