I'm taking on a Race for Life Pretty Muddy to raise money to beat cancer

In memory of

Liz Burke

After a very short but brave battle with breast cancer my beautiful Aunty Liz was taken from us far too soon just a few weeks ago.

On Sunday I will be running to honour her memory but also in support of my four heroic cousins who have lost their centre, my brave mum (herself a two time breast cancer survivor) who has lost her baby sister and all those whose loved ones have been taken too young and too soon by this indiscriminate disease.

1 in 2 people will be diagnosed with cancer in their lifetime. Every single pound you donate makes a difference to Cancer Research UK’s groundbreaking work, so please sponsor me now.

Cause

Breast cancer

With almost 140 women diagnosed every day, breast cancer is the most common cancer in the UK. And, although rarer, around 350 men are also diagnosed with breast cancer every year. The good news is more than two-thirds of women now survive 20 years or more. Help Cancer Research UK find new ways to diagnose and treat the disease.
