My Story
Cancer has touched us all in some way, whether it be friends, family or a little closer to home. For me, it got a little too close - my recent brush with the big C made me think long and hard about my life and what I'm doing with it. Even though I'd signed up to SHINE before even knowing what was lurking under my skin, it feels even more apt now, to be doing something, just a little something that will help to increase awareness and funds to help with the research to beat such a horrendous disease in all it's guises. Thanks to a good friend and my GP, mine has been caught early and I am one of the lucky ones who's diagnosis was quite positive and treatment will be quite simple. But that's not always the case. The work done by Cancer Research scientists so far is mind blowing, and they're moving in the right direction - and with your donation and continued support they can turn this research into breakthroughs that save millions more lives. Every single pound you donate makes a difference to Cancer Research UK’s groundbreaking work, so please sponsor me now. Donating through this page is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with Cancer Research UK. Together, we can help the fight against cancer. Thank you for your support xx
