I'm taking part in Dryathlon, having no alcohol this January to raise money for Cancer Research UK to help save lives.
In memory of
Audrey Ashby
7th May 1944 - 5th Dec 2018
Thank You for visiting my fundraising page. This January I’m taking on 'Dryathlon' and raising money for Cancer Research UK by ditching the drink for one month and fundraising for life-saving research. Please support me by donating to this much deserved cause. This year I'm doing 'Dryathon' in memory of an amazing lady who I had the absolute honour and pleasure of having in my life for the last 29 years. Someone I called my second mum, someone who was always there to listen to me whether it was to rant and let off steam, or ask a question I needed the answer to. Someone who told me as it was, someone who was always honest with me, someone who would lift me when I fell, someone who would tell me where I was going wrong. Someone who shared and supported my highs as well as my lows, someone I loved very much, someone who meant the world to me, someone I'm going to miss so very much. Sadly Aud (as I called her) was diagnosed with terminal Liver Cancer at the end of November 2018, she didn't get to share Christmas not only with me but with her family too. Yes it was that quick, within 3 weeks Aud had passed away. Her funeral was the Tuesday before Christmas. I never thought this would happen to Aud. Aud has left a massive hole in the lives of many including me. Christmases will never be the same without her. However, we're going to use this time of the year each and every year going forward, yes to miss her, but also to celebrate her life and remember her and the way she made not only Christmas, but our lives so special for all of us. We will miss Aud terribly and she will always hold a special place in our hearts. She would be proud of me for doing this for her and for all the other people who have, in some way, been affected by this terrible disease we call Cancer. Please help fund research to help save lives of people who suffer from Cancer. Please donate via this page to 'Dryathon 2019' in memory of those who are no longer with us because of Cancer and also in memory of my 2nd mum, the amazing, kind, caring, funny Audrey Ashby who died suddenly in December last year at the age of 74 from terminal Liver Cancer. Any amount of money we raise from this for Cancer Research UK will be your money well spent. From £1 to £10, or more, whatever you donate will be greatly appreciated. If each and every one of us donated just £1 imagine the amount of money we would raise for this all important research to try and help combat Cancer once and for all, and what that money would be used for. So if it is £1, £10 or more please donate to this much deserving and all important cause, to fund research to potentially save lives from Cancer. Cancer can hit any one of us at any point at any time. It not only affects us but our family, our friends and our loved ones too. If it did happen to us, or our family, friends or loved ones we would want anything possible that could help prevent death from this awful disease. Cancer takes lives, cancer is deadly, cancer kills. Stand with me on this and lets do all we can to help fund the all important research that potentially could save the life of ourselves, our families, our friends, our loved ones. Stand with me and stand up to Cancer, lets beat it not let it beat us, lets raise as much money as we can for research that could potentially save lives. Thank You for your donation
