My Story
After a wake up call, so close to my heart earlier this year, I realise so much more needs to be done to put a stop to this awful disease. So I am going to do all that I can whenever I can to help raise money and awareness for cancer, especially Ovarian low grade, which is a rare type and desperately needs more funding so they can develop targeted treatments. Also more awareness for all women out there to recognise the symptoms sooner rather than later. So on Saturday 21st September I will be dressing in fairy lights, glow sticks and bunny ears and walking a Full Marathon (26.2 miles) around the streets of London over night! 🤩 It's not so much the distance that bothers me, but walking through the night is going to be tough (probably 10 to 12 hrs, if I'm lucky! I will try to smash it as quickly as possible, and get home to my much needed bed! 😴) Each year Cancer Research UK’s scientists get closer to beating cancer, and they’ve helped double survival rates in the last 40 years. But we can’t stop there. Only with our continued support can they turn this research into breakthroughs that save millions of lives. Every single pound you donate makes a difference to Cancer Research UK’s groundbreaking work, so please sponsor me now. Sleep can wait. Beating cancer can’t!!!! 💙💙💙
