My Story
Thank you for visiting my Cancer Research UK Cycle 300 page. This June, before the end of the month, I will complete 300 miles on my bike for Cancer Research UK. I will be pedalling harder than ever because I want to raise money for life-saving research and help bring forward the day when all cancers are cured. Every penny makes a huge difference to vital cancer research so please show your support with a donation to my page. My partner was diagnosed last year with throat and neck cancer. He endured chemotherapy, radiation rounds and more recently an operation to remove lumps and saliva glands from his neck. We really are so lucky to have an amazing Nhs system in the Uk. Although we are waiting for another pet ct scan, which as much as you try to remain positive, it is an extremely worrying time hoping for clear results. I keep busy with fundraising and giving back for all the help and support we have received. He is a hugely positive, courageous and inspirational man and has been absolutely incredible throughout the whole process. I really can't express how much admiration and love I have for him. I truly am super proud of him and so privileged to be his partner. Together we are team HB with our crazy puppy. We have been very fortunate that this process has brought us closer and built stronger foundations to an already strong relationship. If you ever have to face this, as the oncologist told us....keep communication open and be honest with each other as it is key with going through so many emotions, appointments and treatments. I urge you, if you find anything on your body that's new whether a lump, mole or anything else.........please get it checked asap. 1 in 2 of us will be diagnosed with cancer in our life time. I am so proud of our nieces and nephews throughout this as they have been remarkable. Super proud of my nephew who is also taking part in this challenge and together we are Team Bell. Thank you in advance for your support. Together lets beat cancer 👍🥰
