My Story

1 in 2 people will be diagnosed with cancer in their lifetime which is a VERY sobering thought. It doesn't discriminate, it comes in all shapes, sizes and strengths and over the years has impacted so many people that we all know and love. Last year, it knocked on our family door and picked on the wrong woman, she promptly kicked it's backside straight back out again without any fuss. She's a Daughter, a Wife, a Mum, a Sister and a Nanny and thankfully, she's now also a cancer survivor and a true warrior! In her new survivor spirit, she has pulled together her 'warrior team' to jog, walk (and mainly crawl) the 10k Race For Life in St Albans to tell Cancer that it's definitely not welcome, it can DO ONE!! Those of you that know us well will know that we're not the fittest, well, apart from Auntie Linda the 'Zumba Queen' that is! So this is a bit of a challenge for us but we're confident we'll smash it and in the process help raise money for others. We know that a lot of people are asking for donations at this time of year but we would be grateful for any spare pennies you have rattling around in the bottom of your bag or down the back of the settee! Every single pound you donate makes a difference to Cancer Research UK’s groundbreaking work.
