My Story
I’m getting payback on cancer this October by doing a gaming challenge to raise money for Stand Up To Cancer. All the money I raise will help take breakthroughs in the lab and transforms them into treatments and cures for cancer patients who need them right now. So why not dig deep and donate on this page to sponsor me, and together we can show cancer who’s in control. A year ago this month I found out my Dad had Pancreatic Cancer. He was giving 6 to 12 months, but unfortunately he didn't make 3 months. My Dad lived a full life and was well loved and respected. He cared for any one he met and treat everyone equal. My Dad loved new technology and was amazed how video games graphics had advanced from my first console playing Altered Beast to my current gen consoles with real life graphics. He even dappled a bit himself beating my brother and nephew at a Dragonball Z game which they were skilled in. Both will never live it down. He was a joker and always seemed interested in my love of video games and how my children are following me and what it can teach them. I'm a 41 year old full time Dad with a big family and my passions are My Family, Gaming and time at the gym, that I try to juggle around work. My challenge is use my skills in gaming over 30 years to raise money against cancer. So starting on 12th October 2018 at midnight, I'm going to start my challenge of trying to prestige in the new Call Of Duty Black Ops 4 multiplayer by the end of October. That's 55 levels in 19 days, I may not be the best COD player or the worst but I'm going to make every objective captured and every shot fired count towards my goal to fight against cancer. I plan on posting updates on my social media such as Instagram, Twitter and Facebook, also updates on my Xbox feed for my fellow gamers. I hope you will help me with support in my digital fight in my Dad's memory against cancer.
