Still going strong with the training. Last Saturday I walked the length of the Malvern Hills and back again with Wendy and Jane. 13 very hilly miles, beautiful views, a few showers and very windy. A great day! Today I joined the Cotswold Wardens walk in the southern Cotswolds. Only six miles but so beautiful I want to do it again next week!
My fund raising is going well? Besides the £70 showing on my fundraising page, I also have collected £85 cash, so a running total of £150 plus gift aid. Thank you so much to all my generous sponsors and if anyone is still thinking of sponsoring me for Cancer Research, it's not too late! I will be working hard for every pound per mile!

Yesterday, as part of my training for the Brecon Beacons challenge, I did the Gloucester 10k Race for Life - not sponsored as my sponsorship is for Brecon. It was an amazing event with over 1,000 women and children dressed in pink running, jogging or walking 5 or 10k sponsored for cancer research. Most did it in memory of a loved one and there were heart warming and emotional testimonies before we set off. I power walked 10k in 1 hour 35 minutes and think I was the second walker back. There's no way I can walk that fast for 25 miles over the Brecon Beacons but I shall have to try for an average of 3 miles an hour to get back before dark!

Training is going well. Last Saturday I walked 17 miles from Monmouth to Chepstow with Pam, Wendy and Jane. Loved it but was very tired at the end. Still have three weeks to improve my fitness and have lots planned - Gloucester 10k, Malvern walk both ways, many ascents of Robinswood Hill, walks in the Cotswolds. Loving the training!
